Our Background

Founded in 2007 as Global Scrap Solutions, our firm was originally launched as a waste and recycling company servicing commercial and industrial customers across Ontario.  In 2010, we expanded into demolition, undertaking large projects in the manufacturing and paper mill industries across Northern and Southern Ontario. 

 

While working in rural Northern Ontario we identified a need in many smaller communities for better management of their landfills. This led to the creation of recycling and scrap metal salvaging solutions for dozens of northern communities, providing them with revenue generating opportunities that extended the life of their landfills and created seasonal employment for local residents. 

 

In 2012, we formed GS Solutions, our electrical division. From 2012 to 2017, we completed over 100 full building LED lighting retrofits, leading to 13,000,000+ in kWh reduced through energy efficient LED lighting upgrades.

 

Over the last 12 years we have grown to become a one-stop shop, offering a full-suite of solutions in the environmental, construction and energy management spaces to a diverse customer base. On the back of this growth, we created Green Bridge, a company whose focus is to connect our clients with the teams and skilled trades needed to get their projects over the line.

 

Our team of experienced in-house project managers, site supervisors, lead hands and general trades people have executed major capital projects across the country. Our team takes on projects with one goal in mind - to meet and exceed our client’s expectations and create lasting partnerships for years to come.
